Woman shot by ex-boyfriend in Jefferson County break-in, suspect later killed on interstate

An 18-year-old woman was shot and injured when her ex-boyfriend broke into her residence early Saturday morning in northeast Jefferson County, authorities say.


The ex-boyfriend also fired shots at the woman's parents, and missed, and fled the scene in a yellow Chevrolet Camaro, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
