DOTHAN: 11:47 AM. At 11:26 AM Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Fire to Oates Estates Apartments on Flynn Road to a fire alarm. The alarm was in building B.
Dothan Fire evacuated several buildings when they arrived. Dothan Fireman had to use the ermergency key in order to gain access to the fire alarm system.
By 11:51 AM all residents were returned and Dothan Fire were returned to service as no fire at that location.
Safety precautions are required to be made until Fire Officials determine there are no dangers. Sometimes those precautions interrupt people's life and normal activities.
But if they were not taken, just think what could have happen in Atlanta when the bridge collapsed. The fireman realized the extensive danger, evacuated and retreated to a safety zone. A location where 400,000 cars a day travel by and no one was injured. That is amazing.
So never argue when emergency officials make a decision until the situation is deemed safe or nothing to it. It could mean your life, literally, if something happened.
