The City of Dothan Department of Leisure Services, The Alabama Department of Public
Health, Southeast AL Medical Center, and The Wiregrass Foundation are proud to present the
12th Annual Diabetes Prevention & Wellness Workshop. This event will be Thursday, October
30th at the Dothan Civic Center from 7:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
For eleven years the Diabetes Prevention and Wellness Workshop has served in promoting
diabetes awareness to thousands of participants. This presents us with a unique opportunity
to partner with sponsors who reach out to our community with valuable diabetes information,
products, and resources. It is our goal to promote diabetes education and encourage healthy
living throughout the Wiregrass Area. With your help, we can make this happen.
The day will be filled with speakers, vendors, demonstrations, free health screenings, goody
bags, and door prizes. Breakfast and lunch will be served. (First come first served)
