DOTHAN: Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz and the Commission have held their second commission meeting. And Mayor Schmitz and the Commissioners have been told a lie at each meeting.
Mr. West if you do not know, don’t give them the misunderstanding.
The issue… at Schmitz and the Commissioners first meeting they awarded a $ 48,000.00 purchase to a Pensacola Florida landscape firm to plant trees on Hwy. 231 South. The Mayor and Commissioners were told there were no local bidders.
We found at that was not true.
Today City Manager Mike West said there were no local bidders, there was a man from Rehobeth that bid but he had no Dothan address and it was overlooked when the Commissioners were answered.
Look at the information…listen to the tape of Mike West in his own voice…no local bidders no Dothan address…his address clearly say’s Dothan.
If you will not tell the truth on little issues you can not expect the truth on larger issues.
