Enterprise, AL: At around 7:00 p.m., Enterprise Communications dispatched Enterprise Police, Fire (Central), and Rescue to a 2 vehicle motor vehicle crash on West College Street near Boll Weevil Circle. The crash involved a passenger van and a small passenger car. A resident that lived near the crash scene said he heard a loud boom and stepped out to see what it was and saw a crash. The resident stated that the driver of the van stated she went over the center line not knowing because the lines are not marked well. No one was seriously injured in the crash. The crash is under investigation by the Enterprise Police Department.
NOTE: West College Street has hardly ANY yellow center line paint left whatsoever. It is definitely hard to see at night. Also, there is no white line on the outside edge of the road either. If there was, then I am blind as a bat. This could be very dangerous, like it was tonight. Someone could lose their life because of this. The local resident says he will be contacting the Enterprise Mayor tomorrow to notify him of the road condition. Below is a picture of the road’s faded paint.
