5K Raises Money for Families of Deployed Troops and Pediatric Cancer Research
(DOTHAN, AL)- For the second year in a row, the 280th Special Operations Communications Squadron and the Macy Easom Cancer Research Foundation partner to help raise money for families of deployed troops and pediatric cancer research. The 2014 Minuteman 5K will be held Saturday, April 12, at Westgate Park in Dothan, Ala. The event includes a 5K, 1-mile fun run and family activities. Early bird registration for the 5K opened Feb. 1 and is $15. To qualify for early bird registration, all entries must be postmarked by April 1. Registration for the 5K will be available the morning of the run beginning at 7 AM for $20. The cost for the 1-mile fun run is $5 and no pre-registration is required. Registration for the 1-mile fun run will also open at 7 AM and again at 8 AM for those just participating in the fun run.
