3 killed, 3 critical in 10-vehicle wreck on I-65 in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY: The Montgomery Police Department says three people have died and three others are critically injured following a multi-vehicle crash along Interstate 65 Monday morning. The crash happened near the Hyundai Boulevard. 


The three victims who were killed include an adult male, adult female and a child, all from the same vehicle. No information has been released on the critically injured victims. Police say another four victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.


The crash involved a total of 10 vehicles, of which seven were passenger vehicles and the remaining three were tractor-trailers.


Both north and southbound lanes of traffic are affected. According to MPD spokeswoman Sergeant Denise Barnes, all southbound lanes are completely blocked. Only one northbound lane is open.
