5 Vehicle Crash Involving Santa Rosa County School Bus

A 2009 Santa Rosa County School bus, driven by Bobby J. Johnson, was traveling West on U.S. 90 approaching the intersection with Richburg Street. A Dodge Dakota, a Toyota Corolla, and a Chrysler PT Cruiser were stopped in traffic waiting for a Chevrolet Pickup to turn left onto Richburg Street. Johnson failed to stop the school bus. The front of the bus collided with the rear of the Dakota. As a result of this collision with the school bus, the front of the Dodge Dakota collided with the rear of the Toyota Corolla. As a result of this collision with the Dodge Dakota, the front of the Toyota Corolla collided with the rear of the Chrysler PT Cruiser. As a result of the collision with the Toyota Corolla, the Chrysler PT Cruiser collided with the rear of the Chevrolet pickup.

The Santa Rosa County School bus did not have any students on board the bus at the time of the crash. The crash is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. The driver of the Santa Rosa County School bus, Bobby J. Johnson, was charged with Careless Driving.
