50 Year Mark With The NAPA

Larry Nolan (a.k.a. Slick) of Bennett Auto Parts in Abbeville has achieved a milestone many of us will never see. In June of this year he reached the 50 year mark with the NAPA Auto Parts organization. He spent many of these years working for Mr. Joe Harris until he joined the Bennett Auto Parts crowd in 1999 when Tommy Bennett bought the store. Over the past 50 years Slick has been of great service to the people of Abbeville helping in anyway he knows how to. He has touched the lives of so many people, and has lent a helping hand when nobody else would even think to. 50 years is a great accomplishment, but his legacy will be remembered for far more than that. Slick is married to his wonderful wife Mary Jane, and has raised two fine children in Tommy Nolan and Dell Money. Slick also has a handful of grandchildren that he is real quick to brag on. If this isn’t enough to be proud of Slick is also a cancer survivor. He has fought it on more than one occasion, but with his toughness and love for life it has never gotten him down. On 7-12-2012 the Bennett Auto Parts organization got together to celebrate with Slick and his family at Lakepoint Resort State Park in Eufaula, Alabama. They shared many stories and ate BBQ as Slick received his plaques. Slick likes to keep up with the news and rickystokesnews.com is the first place he checks!
