60 Minutes correspondent Bob Simon was killed in car crash in New York City on Wednesday evening.
Simon was in a livery cab that was rear-ended by a Mercedes-Benz being driven by a 23-year-old man, which sent the car clamming into the median.
The CBS reporter, 73, was rushed to St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in the city where he was pronounced dead.
