REHOBETH: 7:47 AM. Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched a medical emergency on Helms Road in Rehobeth.
After twice paging Rehobeth and no response, the 911 Center dispatched Pilcher Ambulance to the scene.
NOTE:
I understand it is volunteer. But when you accept the responsibility emergency service is 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. When you can not cover a shift or time frame, it is the responsibility of the Chief and Rescue Captain to notify Communications and Pilcher they will not be able to respond. That way time is not wasted in calling the department that can not respond.
How long when someone stops breathing before brain damage? What is the magic time on a stroke to get the person to the medical facility in order to hopefully save them from permanent damage?
Again, everyone will want to shoot the messenger. Oh that is just Rickey. Like recently when I called an official out for extremely wrong figures. His supporters jumped me but no one asked was I correct or was he?
I am passionate about emergency service. I have given up a lot in life to support emergency service. People do not plan for the emergencies.
I have been involved since 1977. So I have been around and know what I am talking about.
And I am sorry that excellant service is expected.
THE HOUSTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HAVE KNOWN OF THE PROBLEMS AND IGNORED THEM. ANYONE WHO DIES, THE RESPONSIBILITY REST SQUARELY ON THE SHOULDERS OF MARK STERLING CULVER, DOUG SINQUEFIELD, JACKIE BATTLES, BRANDON SHOUPE AND CURTIS HARVEY.
