COVINGTON COUNTY - HENRY COUNTY:    Last night I wrote a article concerning a case in Henry County and Covington County.

The cases concerned a fake Craigslist ad made by Henry County Sheriff Deputies and Abbeville Police Officers after attending a school.

After two failed attempts to lure the young man to Henry County, the dual agencies traveled to Covington County. They attempted to lure the young man to meet them in Covington County. It did not work he did not meet them.

The Henry County Sheriff Deputies, Abbeville Police and Covington County Sheriff Deputies hit the young man's house. By the way after he came home from church.

The young man was brought back to Henry County. He was arrested and charged with transmitting pictures and electronic solicitation. And then Covington County charged him with the same offenses.

Well since 2014 Attorney Jim Parkman of Parkman and White Law Firm ( www.dothanlawfirm.com ) filed numerous motions attempting to get the items on discovery. 

The triple headed law enforcement agencies seized the young man's cell phone, computer, and other items. But today they have no idea where the computer, cell phone and other items are. They do not have all of the text messages or evidence.

UNDERSTAND - law enforcement in three agencies lost the evidence. And the primary officer quit and moved to Texas.

In Henry County, after finally grasping the gravity of evidence loss, 20th Judicial Circuit Court Judge Mike Conaway dismissed the cases. Kicked them out because law enforcement lost the evidence.

On Tuesday, in Covington County, the court heard motions to dismiss. The motions were filed and argued by Jim Parkman. It surprised me that Sam Clenny from the 20th Judicial Circuit ( Henry and Houston County ) was the one representing the state in Covington County.

I was told Covington County had a conflict and Luther Strange appointed Valeska to handle the cases.

But I was shocked and surprised at what I heard in court. And then when I researched the court files, I was further amazed.

Now I like Sam Clenny and Doug Valeska. But I am appalled, disappointed and ashamed at their efforts to destroy this young man. He is not what they have defined him as.

It is not Clenny or Valeska fault that three law enforcement agencies have lost critical evidence. ( And this is not the first time in Henry County/Abbeville ). And Clenny attempted to blame it on former Abbeville Police Chief now Ozark Police Chief Marlos Walker.

But it is Sam Clenny and Doug Valeska for not making law enforcement be accountable for the cases they made and the evidence seized.

But instead of doing the right thing, Clenny ( with Valeska support ) was slinging feces around the courtroom. I was ashamed.

With the stroke of a pen, a law enforcement officer and/or prosecutor can alter and change a persons life. They can destroy a person with the stroke of the pen. When they make a mistake they claim civil immunity and they acted  under the color of the law.

I am going to catch wrath, but when the prosecutors allow this type of law enforcement behavior and irresponsibility, it rest square on that prosecutor. And attempts to make excuses and cover ups, crap excuses rather than doing the right thing erodes the entire system and trust in the system.

And the damage these have done to this young man with irresponsible strokes of pens, the officers and prosecutors should be held accountable.

To show you I have scanned the District Court files and Circuit Court files in Henry County. A few non essential items are not scanned such as entry of appearances. But the file is scanned.

Cases begin in District Court. After Grand Jury the case is in Circuit Court. That is where the final disposition of the case is.

NOTE:  Look out Rickey, you are going to catch wrath for calling it like it is.

And the defendant has had no part in my writing this article.

I did block his name because he has already been trashed enough by the irresponsible leadership representing Henry County, Abbeville and Covington County.
