The students at Rucker Boulevard Elementary School are getting some new classrooms outside. This is a new trend all over the country; out door classrooms are becoming more and more popular.
This particular outside classroom will have several different parts including a rock garden, and a Charitable Garden.
The benches are being special built by Chris Gilley of Wicksurg. What started out as full trees has been milled into beautiful benches for the outside classroom. The classes from the school that will benefit from the outdoor class room got the opportunity to visit Mr. Chris Gilley at his farm and get a first hand look at how the saw mill really works.
Ft. Rucker Pilots are helping to find resources to help get the outside classroom completed. The still need something for the classroom like rocks for the rock garden and other materials. You can contact the Principle Mrs. Sheree Hardwick or Asst Principle Audrey McMillan at the Rucker Boulevard Elementary School.
