Abbeville Interim Police Chief Kevin Wright - I Am Out Of Here

ABBEVILLE:     When Marlows Walker resigned as  police chief in Abbeville  the mayor appointed Kevin Wright  as interim police chief.


 The application process opened and then closed with out the interiem chief applying.


 Then 19 days after the application process closed the interim chief applied for police chief.


 The Abbeville City Council voted 3 to 3 for the  interim police chief Kevin Wright and Deputy Noel Vanlandingham.


 Then two weeks later the Abbeville City Council returned and voted 4 to 3 for Vanlandingham  as Abbeville police chief.


The night of the vote the interim chief flew from the parking lot of the Abbeville Police Department.


 This past Monday the interim chief called the mayor, he was out of town on city business, and said he was out of there. With that said Kevin Wright left  The city of Abbeville with no police chief. 


A police Corporal was named interim chief until Monday when Vanlandingham will take over the reigns as Abbeville a Police Chief.
