Warming stations open in city and county for residents still without power - call 615-HELP (615-4537) if you need assistance.
1000’s of customers are without power within the city limits of Dothan. Alabama Power has at least 300 customers in the county without power. Wiregrass Electric has approximately 300 customers in Houston County without power.
For those residents needing somewhere to get warm, American Red Cross is coordinating with local emergency officials to open warming stations in the area.
Westgate Recreation Center is designated as a warming station. Warming stations are also available at Taylor Senior Citizens Center and Wicksburg Fire Station. Warming stations area also available in Ashford, Webb, Columbia, Cottonwood and Kinsey. Buses may be available for transportation. If you need assistance making your way to the warming station, call 615-HELP (615-4357). If you have a medical emergency, call 911.
