DOTHAN: There is a lot that I want to say about the recent developments about the case the City of Dothan has against me. I am speaking in reference to the case where the City of Dothan charged me with Unlawful Imprisonment.
But because there is a lot going on in the case between Houston County Circuit Court, Dothan Municipal Court and the United States Federal Court, I feel that it is best that most comments come from my attorney’s.
I am represented by Derek Yarbrough, Dustin Fowler, Steve Etheredge, William White and Jim Parkman. I have other counsel and investigators involved in my case(s).
I was born and raised in Dothan Alabama. While I have had opportunities to live other places, I made the decision to stay in Dothan, work here and raise my family here. And I have tried to make a positive impact on issues and make changes that will better our community.
But the person that will stand for nothing, will fall for anything. And I am not willing to fall for anything. And I am not willing to stand by and watch as people are abused.
The Dothan Commission, perhaps absent of Beth Kenward and David Crutchfield, are well aware of the issues. But for some reason government had rather ignore the problems and not fix them.
The reason absent of Kenward and Crutchfield, they have not been on the commission long. And we have never had conversations about what is really happening in Dothan government.
We have a super Mayor that cares for Dothan. He inherited some staff and issues that he has not been able to get fixed.
I may loose everything I have. But I promise you this one thing, this fight is not about Rickey Stokes.
And this fight is not about Rose Evans Gordon, but about who she let’s run over her.
Probably said to much. But the time has come for the problems to be fixed and not some empty words or playing dumb.
It is time for a radical change.
NOTE: To those who have been complaining about Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish, he is NOT one that needs to be changed. The appointment of Steve Parrish as Police Chief was a great move for the City of Dothan and the Dothan Police Department.
