Airport Threats Prompt Safety Drill

The Transportation Security Administration found over 2,200 guns in luggage at airports last year. Those number are record setting for the TSA.

So, to help better prepare for real life crisis the Dothan Regional Airport along with the Dothan Fire and Police Department and assistance from the Dale County Sheriff's Office practiced terrorist situations.

"I immediately fell to the ground as if they shot me and it did feel real. I started panicking when the ambulance got here  I almost started crying. It really did feel real being on the backboard carried out and then the cops coming in screaming,” said one of the participants angela Gulledge.

In today's world terror has become an everyday concern. It's not outside the realm of possibility that it could happen here.
