Alabama attorney charged with human trafficking gets more charges added to list

A Florence lawyer already facing 15 charges related to a human trafficking ring was indicted this week on an additional nine charges, including allegations of bribing some of the victims and destruction of evidence.
A Lauderdale County grand jury on Tuesday indicted Edwary Ray "Chip" Dillard, 51, on two counts of first-degree human trafficking, one count of second-degree human trafficking, two counts of bribing a witness, two counts of destruction of evidence and two counts of tampering with evidence.
The indictment, filed in court records on Wednesday, includes an additional three victims in the case, bringing the total victims thus far to nine.
