The Alabama Judicial Inquiry Commission on Friday responded to suspended Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore’s efforts to have the judicial ethics charges against him dismissed.
Instead of dismissing the charges, the Alabama Court of the Judiciary should issue a summary judgment in its favor and remove Moore now from the bench, the JIC states in its response.
"This court (COJ) can conclude this matter now, deny the Chief Justice’s motion for summary judgment, enter judgment as a matter of law in favor of the commission (JIC), remove the Chief Justice from judicial office, and reaffirm Alabama’s fidelity to the rule of law," the JIC motion states.
NOTE FROM RICKEY STOKES: Folks I am not siding with Roy Moore on the issue and I am not opposing Roy Moore in the issue. But what I want to point out, if you for one minute think the Montgomery Judicial Inquiry Commission or the members of the Alabama Supreme Court are about "truth, justice and fairness", then I have some swamp land in Arizona to sell you.
So do not let them hide behind the curtains and you think they are "do gooders and righteous folks". Not much has changed since the same type people on the court sentenced a man thousands of years ago to death.
The people of this state has twice elected Roy Moore as Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court. And for the second time a "selected" few called the Judicial Inquiry Commission have worked to impeach Roy Moore.
I for one have ZERO confidence in the members of the Alabama Supreme Court or the Judicial Inquiry Commission.
If they are going to follow through, ALL needs to be before the public and the watchful eye of the public. Because the Alabama Supreme Court and the Judicial Inquiry Commission has proven over and over again, being truthful is not one of their traits.
