MONTGOMERY, Alabama --- A bill that would consolidate state law enforcement agencies became the third bill in a package Republicans say would streamline government to pass the Alabama Senate today.


Republicans, who hold 22 seats in the 35-seat Senate, are moving a set of bills they say would make state agencies more efficient and save taxpayer dollars.
