Montgomery – Today, Nov. 23, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) Aviation Unit located a missing 29-year-old man who had been lost in the Talladega National Forest since Saturday.
“This morning, our Aviation Unit received a request from Talladega County Sheriff’s Office for aviation support to locate a man who had been missing since Saturday. Within minutes of being on the scene the Aviation Unit located the man and guided ground units to his location,” said Secretary of Law Enforcement Spencer Collier. “After spending two nights in the National Forest and with temperatures dropping below freezing last night, the man who was only wearing shorts and a tee shirt was found very cold but uninjured. I am proud of our Aviation Unit and their performance and dedication to life-saving missions across the state.”
