DOTHAN: Alabama Law Enforcement, Spencer Collier, has cancelled his Dothan Press Conference for 10 AM.
Collier, the Secretary for Alabama Law Enforcement, had scheduled a press conference for Dothan this morning. Collier was coming to Dothan to tell doom and gloom for the law enforcement for Alabama is the budget does no get passed and taxes are not raised.
Collier was expected to tell the wiregrass that we will loose the Dothan Driver License and other services that would affect the citizens in services.
Hey Spencer, here are some ideas:
(1) Take the Troopers assigned to the colleges across the state and put them on the road. That should net about 40 more "road" Troopers.
(2) Each college has their own University Police Department which could escort the universities.
(3) Let Driver Education Teachers issue the driver license for new drivers. That would save overhead for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Your figure, 40,000 new drivers at $ 35 each is $ 1,400,0000.0 you would not be spending money to collect.
Spencer, think about it. The driver ed teacher is with the student a lot more than the 8 minutes the Trooper is on the driver test.
(4) Privatize driver license. The state cannot make money at it. Which if you cannot make money on a monopoly like you have - well you are no real swift there dude!
(5) Get out of the box - THINK. Re - group. STOP the "we have always done it this way" and think - Customer Service and Profit. VISUALIZE, we are a private business who needs customer satisfaction and how can we make a profit.
I have confidence Spencer, you can do it!!!
