DOTHAN: Walkers beware.. On the short walikng trail behind Kiwanis Park behind the play ground a LARGE nest of bees or yellow jackets have been located on a tree about 2 feet off the trail. If you are walking in this area please use extra caution. If this nest is disturbed they will attack and it could be fatal. The head of leasure services has been contacted and he ask that if possible avoid this area until they can get them removed.
UPDATED:
Last night a local bee keeper came to te rescue, Terry Stokes responded to the call and with in a short few mintues had all the bees captured and safely removed from the aera. I have received several emails regaurding the bees and that they were just honey bees. Well maybe so but you rile them up the out come is prity much the same. Again thanks to terry the walking trail ia again safe for the public.
