This morning officers responded to a firearm assault in the parking-lot of 3803 Ross Clark Circle. Investigators say the incident occurred following a physical altercation inside of the "Overtime Bar and Grill" between three individuals, which continued outside in the parking-lot. The altercation escalated when one of the subjects, identified as Brandon Thompson, drew a gun and fired one shot, hitting one of the other subjects, a 27 year old female in the neck. Officers took Thompson into custody immediately after the shot was fired and began issuing medical attention to the victim.
The victim was taken to the Southeast Alabama Medical Center where she has been listed in stable condition. Thompson was arrested and charged with second degree assault. A bond amount has been set at $15,000.00.
Brandon Fitzgerald Thompson, black male, 22 years of age, of Pinto Drive.
