American Idol’s Ruben Studdard Coming to Dothan

Dothan, Alabama – Ruben Studdard is coming to the Dothan Opera House on Sunday, October 23rd to present his NEW children’s live musical stage show “Uncle Ruben’s House.” The show will feature Ruben himself as Uncle Ruben telling stories and leading a crowd pleasing sing-along.
The event is geared towards children 2-9 and is set to be a great wholesome family experience. Description of show A 60-minute live musical stage show captivating children and parents alike. Ruben sings children’s classics such as “You’ve Got a Friend In Me” and “This Little Light of Mine” as well as original songs penned by Studdard like “Be Polite” and “The Letter Named O.” Children are encouraged to dance and sing along.
Inspired by Ella Jenkins and Mr. Rogers, Studdard shares, “Growing up in a home with two educators, I learned early on that education through music was a positive experience.” The singer added, “My mother was a kindergarten teacher, so not only did I grow to love the classic educational songs, as a song writer, I was always encouraged to write original songs as well.”
Tickets are $12 for a child, $15 for an adult in advance depending on seat location. Prices will INCREASE the day of the show to $17 per child and $20 per adult. Ages 2 and under sitting on an adult’s lap are FREE!
