DOTHAN: This afternoon while a lot of people were shopping in Southside Wal-Mart, but something happened that made the system that controls the registers go down. No one could check out… people that had waited 30 – 45 minutes in line were just leaving their buggies some full of food. All the meat was going to get throwed out and everything else put back on the shelf. All they would say was the registers were down and they didn’t know how long it would take to get them back up.


People were leaving taking their business elsewhere. That bad thing is no one was standing at the doors telling anyone that there was a problem… One lady said she had her kids to pick up and could wait any longer… There is no telling how much money was lost due to a computer system losing power…I understand that there back power for that system also failed causing the problems…
