Annual Catfish Roundup in Gordon

HOUSTON COUTNY: Today some special kids from around Dothan and Houston County participated in the annual catfish roundup in Gordon. Thanks to Joe Phillips for heading up this wonderful day of fun and fishing. Kids of all ages come together to fish and have fun. Several got to experience catching the big one. 

Everyone who comes has fun, some more than others. Volunteers came from each school and some law enforcement also came and volunteered their time to help bait hooks or take the fish off the hooks for the kids. The smiles on the kid’s faces when they caught one were worth it every minute.

A free lunch is served to everyone there and even the fish get fed a lot of worms.
