MONTGOMERY: There is a difference in standing up for law enforcement officers in the performance of their duties and having rogue law enforcement officers.
Personally, I have stood up for law enforcement officers, and I have been the catalyst to allow rogue law enforcement officers end their career.
Our capital city murders have bothered me for a while. In my opinion there is no justification in letting the capital city of Alabama get out of control as it has in recent years.
And several, to include Alabama Governor(s) Bob Riley and Robert Bentley are two culprits. Along with them is Attorney General Luther Strange.
You have a former federal secret service agent, Chris Murphy, running the place. And he should only be running the vacuum cleaner and they should be cautious at that.
But there is another person of which I lay a tremendous blame at. And I think from what I have read and looked at, has attempted to throw a officer in the lions den in order to attempt to make himself look better politically.
And that is Daryl Bailey the District Attorney and the ( again misguided self proclaimed )Chief Law Enforcement Officer for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit, Montgomery County.
Distrust Attorney Daryl Bailey was quick to throw the Montgomery Police Officer "under the bus" on the shooting. And Bailey, from all I understand, throw the officer "under the bus" only to attempt political gain and favor with the minority community.
And when you do that, Bailey, it makes officers hesitant to be proactive in their jobs. Because they know, when you have literally seconds to make everlasting decisions, folks like Bailey are ready to destroy you.
I will never argue that sometimes law enforcement officers, often times law enforcement officers, bring the heat on themselves. They are sometimes cocky, stack tickets on people, and attempt to abuse the authority so granted. But not all do that. And often times departments within themselves weed those out.
But officers are in tricky situations. They encounter people and ask questions because things just don’t look right. Then later, things develop that piece the puzzle together and they were right.
Montgomery County District Attorney Daryl Bailey, along with the Governor, Attorney General, Mayor Todd Strange, King Chris Murphy, gentleman you asked for the jobs and you are responsible. Look yourselves in the mirror, look the men and women in the Montgomery law enforcement in the face, the 8 victims and families in the face, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE.
Alabama has their guided principles so far off center. We are not headed in the right direction. And when you get people with misguided ego’s in place, tragedy strikes.
Tragedy has struck in Montgomery Alabama. And that tragedy is called failures of leadership.
And for the men and women in the Montgomery Police Department, I apologize you are dealing with such airheads of leadership.
To the people of Alabama, we are in the gutter.
