HOUSTON COUNTY:    At 4:43 PM Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched a suicide attempt in the Hodgesville area. A female took an unknown amount of pills.

Houston County Sheriff Department and EMS responded to the scene and the patient was transported.

The reported victim was in her 50's.

NOTE:

RSN is now reporting suicide threats, attempts and successful suicides. They are ranging in all ages.

Today we have had several discussions with persons from all walks of life, to include elected officials. There has been a wide range of discussion as to the reasons. Because the ages range, we have yet to find a common denominator.

However, one common denominator was discussed. Years ago, JUDGES, decided that Christ was not to be discussed in public places. Those public places included schools.

The generations from the UNWISE JUDICIAL decisions to take Christ out of the public is today's society. I can not and do not attempt to in any way say anyone that has attempted or committed suicide did or did not know Christ.

What I am saying, the number of people of threaten, attempt or commit suicide is increasing. And I am alarmed about it. Who has the responsibility to begin to address the problem? I do not know.

But I feel, as one who hears the calls dispatched and am aware of the number of calls law enforcement - fire and EMS respond to, whatever I am - news, blog or whatever, I have an obligation to make the community aware this is a growing problem.

Sunday, my pastor discussed about revival. Not a Memphis revival but a true revival. And that he would hate to be the one that stopped a revival. I feel the same way.

Perhaps, only a suggestion, but faiths from all walks of life, might need to come together to address a community revival and outpouring of love. Because with Christ, ALL things are possible.

I am concerned over this issue. It affects everyone, regardless of their position in society. And we must not continue that it is taboo, but address it.

I do not wish to continue these articles. However, when I hear the calls I intend to publish only with the intent of a call to arms this is a problem.

SUICIDE - a permanent solution to a temporary problem!
