Arbor Day Celebration and Tree Give-A-Way

The 2015 Arbor Day Celebration will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 26th at Gussie McMillon Park. The guest speakers for this year’s annual celebration will include representatives from Flowers Hospital and Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Dan Williams, Horticulturist for the City of Dothan, will present the tree that is to be planted in honor of nurses.


This year’s celebration is sponsored by the City of Dothan and the Alabama Forestry Commission. As part of the Arbor Day Celebration, the Alabama Forestry Commission will also sponsor a tree give-a-way at the Northside Walmart Garden Center on Friday, February 27, 2015 beginning at 9:00 a.m.
