Dothan, Ala.Wallace Community College hosted the 34th Annual Scholars’ Bowl Invitational Tournament on Friday, February 27, at the Wallace Campus in Dothan. Four-player teams from twelve area high schools vied for trophies and a scholarship to Wallace Community College.


 


Teams from Abbeville Christian Academy, Abbeville High School, Eufaula High School, Goshen High School, Headland High School, Northview High School, Pike County High School, Providence Christian School, Slocomb High School, and Wicksburg High School answered questions covering a range of topics, including math, history, literature, current events, pop culture, science, and sports, among others.


 


Team winners were Providence Christian School (first place), Slocomb High School (second place), and Northview High School (third place). The top-scoring individual was Jacob Harris from Headland High School. Harris also won a WCC scholarship as the top-scoring senior.


 


The annual event is open to all high schools in Wallace Community College’s service area, which includes Houston, Henry, Barbour, Bullock, Russell, Dale, and Geneva counties.



Highest Score Individual: Jacob Harris, Headland High School, was the top-scoring senior. Harris won a one-year WCC scholarship.
