ARITON:   This morning Ariton Schools went on lockdown. It was only a security measure based on a law enforcement related call about a mile or so from the school.

Ozark - Dale County 911 received a call on a domestic complaint near Universalist Cemetary. Reports were the person had a weapon and would take the life of law enforcement officers.

When law enforcement arrived the only issue was normal bickering in domestic complaints and no violence.

The school, when they heard of the call, locked down the school until law enforcement made sure all was okay.

THE FOLLOWING IS NOT JUST ABOUT ARITON BUT ALL SCHOOLS

I am searching how this makes sense. And the one thing I have learned in dealing with schools, a whole lot of their actions makes no sense.

Lock the school down and leave the students outside the school locked out of the school. What about the children that were at the door and can not get inside. The school just leaves them in danger?

A Circuit Court Judge told me one time when we were discussing schools that schools use one size fits all regardless of circumstances. The Judge made the statement - what if that was the court's manner, do not consider the facts, just one size fits all.

When on lockdown, make sure you do not leave children outside in unsafe conditions.
