Ashford Lions Club Will Be Holding Their Famous Brunswick Stew Sale

The Ashford Lions Club is selling its famous Brunswick stew on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Food Lion in Cowarts.  The stew is freshly cooked from a decades-old recipe and will be ready for pickup beginning at 11:00 AM and ending at 2 PM.  Quantities are limited so advanced purchase of tickets is recommended.  All proceeds from the sale go to support needs such as indigent eye care, disaster support, academic scholarships and recreation.  Each advance-purchased ticket comes with a raffle ticket.  Following the sale, the Lions will raffle off gift cards of $100, $50 and $25.  Tickets are $7 per quart and may be purchased from any Lions Club member, the Ashford Senior Center, Ashford City Hall or may be reserved for later payment by calling 334-803-9800.  Visit the Ashford Lions Club Facebook page for more information.
