ASHFORD:    The City Council and Mayor of Ashford have named a new Police Chief.


The City has named Quinton Vann as Ashford Police Chief. Vann's appointment came after the retirement of Jim Stanley as Police Chief.


Vann is a Ashford native. He is a product of Ashford High School. Vann served as a police officer in Kinsey and in Webb. 


Vann brings to Ashford a quiet demeanor of professionalism and dedication. Vann will be a Chief the people of Ashford can sit down and talk with, a person they can trust confidential information to, and one they can expect professionalism from.


The city leaders of Ashford did a good job in the selection of Vann as Chief.
