Ashford Police Chief Suspended with Pay for NOT filling Out a Vacation Request

ASHFORD: Ashford police Chief Jim Stanley has been placed on administrative leave for failing to fill out a vacation leave request. Stanley confirmed the report to WDHN’s Ken Curtis saying he was told of the suspension Friday. Mayor Johnathon Grecu said he is not going to comment on the matter at this time. 

“It’s the first write up against me in my 35 year law enforcement career,” Stanley said. He took the Ashford job about six years ago after retiring from the Dothan police department where he served in several division including criminal investigations. Stanley said he will have an appeal hearing within the next ten days.
