Assault In Wicksburg - Suspects Apprehended In Slocomb

HOUSTON COUNTY:  Houston County Sheriff Deputies investigated an assault in Wicksburg. The injuries were reported to be minor. Wicksburg Rescue responded to the scene.

Houston County Sheriff Deputy McKinney was quick to get a broadcast out to communications of a suspect vehicle. Houston County Sheriff Communications got the broadcast out to all surronding agencies quickly.

Alabama State Troopers spotted the suspect vehicle on Highway 52 in Slocomb. Troopers and Geneva County Sheriff Deputies stopped the suspect vehicle and detained them for Houston County.

Deputy McKinney called for an investigator with Criminal Investigation Division.

At this time we do not know the exact location of the assault or circumstances. We do know the broadcast description was a truck occupied by five (5) suspects.

Houston County is currently investigating.

The incident location was at or near Bunk and Hartzog Road in the Wicksburg area.
