 Attempted Murder

　

On Saturday February 04, 2012 at approximately 08:35 pm E911 received a call from 49 year old female Susan Robinson stating that she had been ran over by an acquaintance of hers and left on the side of the roadway. The crime allegedly occurred in 3700 block of County Road 9 in Dale County.

The victim advised first responders that the suspect was 52 year old male Carlton Bruce Dean of Newton, Alabama. Authorities believe alcohol was one of the contributing factors for this event.

The victim was transported to Flowers Hospital for serious physical injuries sustained in this event. Hours later the victim was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham with life threatening complication from her injuries sustained in this event.

At approximately 10:30 pm Authorities located the suspect at his residence on Holland Road in Houston County , Alabama and took him into custody for questioning in reference to the Assault.

The suspect was later arrested and charged with 1^st Degree Assault and booked in the Dale County Jail. The charge was later upgraded to Attempted Murder by Authorities.

As of 02/05/2012 the victim is still in critical condition in Birmingham.
