Attorney General files lawsuit to try to shut down Poarch Creek casinos

MONTGOMERY, Alabama -- Attorney General Luther Strange has filed a lawsuit to try to shut down casinos operated by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.


The lawsuit was filed this morning in Elmore Circuit Court. The lawsuit contends the tribe has an obligation to comply with state laws that prohibit slot machine-style gambling.
