Attorney General Press Secretary Says There Will Be No Interview

MONTGOMERY:   Moments ago Suzanne from the Alabama Attorney General Office called me to tell me there would be no interviews with Attorney General Luther Strange.

I reminded her that I asked for a interview on July 25th. That we were not in the notification of the press conference on August 8. Suzanne said that Strange would not be available for interview.

I asked her to make sure that she gave to Luther Strange a message for me. That message is that I did not realize Luther Strange was such a coward where he would not answer questions. That on inauguration day when my wife and I goto ur pictures made what he told me was a lie. And all  I wanted was a interview to get some questions answered that people have asked me.

That when Luther Strange was a lobbyist and at Hunt’s Restaurant in Dothan he would talk. When he was a candidate he and I helped someone in an accident that we both came up on. When I have seen him at the Capital he would talk.

Luther Strange when he runs for Senate as the rumor stands when U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions retires, as rumored, or when he runs again for office, he will probably want the coverage. Like when he ran for Lt. Governor and came to Dothan on a bus tour and wanted the coverage. But when they get in office and all powerful, they forget the little people.

Some consider me media and some do not. I would give Luther Strange a fair interview but tough questions. However, in less than 12 hours we got over 44,000 hits on an article. We have an audience. Strange was not asked to come to Dothan for the interview. We just asked for a time.

Ladies and gentleman and to those who say I want to complain or be critical of me for calling Luther Strange a coward or for thinking he must give me an interview. The questions are ones I have been asked by people here that they want answered. As for Rickey Stokes, being around politicians and thinking that I must be in their prescence, is not something that I have to have or that makes me feel important in life. I could care less if I ever speak with another politician. Most of them are liars and will not tell you the truth.

Never ever think that I feel I should be in the prescence of someone like Strange or other political foes or they should cater to my request.

But rest assured Luther Strange does not want to answer public quesitons.
