HENRY COUNTY: According to a report form (WDHN) Auburn defensive back Jonathon Mincy was charged Friday evening with Possession of Marijuana 2nd degree. Henry County Sheriff Will Maddox said Mincy was arrested following a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 431. Mincy was not the driver according to Maddox.
Maddox said he did not know exactly where the stop took place because he had not yet spoken with the officer who made it. “Others people with Mincy at the time were not charged,” Maddox said. The sheriff said he did not know the amount of marijuana found in Mincy’s possession.
The redshirt senior, according to the Auburn Athletics website, is from Decatur, Georgia. He made 56 tackles last year while helping lead the Tigers to the SEC Championship and appearance in the BCS National Championship Game.
Mincy was booked into the Henry County Jail in Abbeville and released on $3,000 bond.
