PRATTVILLE – (According to the Montgomry Advertiser) two suspects in custody grew to five suspects being interrogated following a Wednesday morning manhunt in Autauga County.
The suspects were still in custody, but no charges had been filed by 5 p.m. Wednesday, but the group is believed to be suspects in a string of thefts, said Sheriff Joe Sedinger.
It all started about 7:15 a.m. in the 1800 block of U.S. 31 North, in the Pine Level community, sheriff's office reports show.
"The homeowner noticed two men trying to steal his motorcycle, they were loading it up in a pickup truck," Sedinger said. "He called us and called a friend and ran outside in his underwear. The men drove off, but the friend cut them off at the driveway and their truck ran into a ditch."
