HOUSTON and HENRY COUNTY:    Assistant District Attorney David Atwell has been given a statewide award.

Atwell was recently given a award from the Alabama District Attorney Association for his dedication and hard work. The award was for his work as an Assistant District Attorney granting him Alabama Assistant District Attorney of the Year for 2012.

Atwell serves Houston and Henry County as an Assistant District Attorney. He has been with the District Attorney of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit for the past 7 years. Prior to his service in Houston and Henry County Atwell served as Assistant District Attorney in the 33^rd Judicial Circuit of Dale and Geneva County for 14 years.

Atwell has prosecuted cases of all descriptions over the years. Prosecuting  minor cases to major criminal cases.  He is dedicated and professional in the performance of his duties. 

Congratulations to David Atwell for his award and his service to this Circuit.
