Barbour County Sheriff's Office Charges Man with Capital Murder

On August 18 2016 the Barbour County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office, the Barbour County District Attorney’s Office, and additional assisting agency’s:
Sheriff Sutton, Coffee County Sheriff, Investigator Sam Redman, Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, Billy Crawford, Dale County Sheriff’s Office, contributed in the help in obtaining a capital murder warrant on Derrick Markieth Harris in the brutal murder of Mildred Eugene Johnson of Clio, AL. back on 4 September 2014.
The warrants were obtained due to evidence acquired following an almost two year investigation. Due to the warrants being for capital murder, the accused will have no bond. There will be no additional information given due to the continued investigation in this case.
