Batson Motion Causes The Reversal Of Captial Murder Convicton

HOUSTON COUNTY:   The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals has reversed the conviction decision based on the "Batson" issue.

The case was a death penalty conviction of Christopher Anthony Floyd. Floyd was convicted for the intentional murder of Waylon Crawford which occured during a robbery. The jury recoemdned death in a 11 to 1 decision.

The case was remanded on the Batson issued and remanded the matter for proceedings consistent with this opinion.
