It is not unusual for law enforcement to find themselves in a dangerous situation, but it is not every day they save someone from a burning vehicle.
September 15, Bay County Sheriff's Deputy, Richard Gibbs, noticed a red Dodge Ram driving south on Thomas Drive with flames coming out from under the vehicle. He instructed the driver to pull over into the Innovations Federal Credit Union parking lot.
“The minute that she stopped, her car basically started going into smoke and moments later engulfed in flames,” said Gibbs.
The owner of the truck, Sarina Graff, got out of the vehicle just moments before it was too late. Gibbs then got his fire extinguisher and immediately started trying to put out the fire.
