Bentley, Strange tell counties electronic bingo is illegal

DOES ANYONE REALLY RESPECT OR BELIEVE GOVERNOR BENTLEY OR ATTORNEY GENERAL LUTHER STRANGE? Really?



Gov. Robert Bentley and Attorney General Luther Strange have sent joint notices to Alabama counties saying that electronic bingo is illegal.


A separate notice went to the district attorney and sheriff in Macon County, where VictoryLand casino reopened last week with electronic bingo for the first time since a 2013 raid and shutdown by state law enforcement.


"It is widely known that VictoryLand began operations on September 13, 2016, and continues as of today's date to operate electronic bingo machines," the letter says. "This is a violation of Alabama law."
