Big Wheels Rolled into Ashford Elementary This Morning

Every year the special needs students look forward to the WalMart Truckers rolling their BIG RIGS into Ashford Elementary School to put smiles on some VERY special faces!  The truckers are part of the WalMart Heart Program, which allows the company’s transportation employees to perform community service projects.


The Drivers gave Ashford’s Special Needs children big rig rides.  Students were blowing the horn and waving at their friends as they rode. The children that are in the trainable handicapped classes, multi-handicapped classes, and autism classes from Ashford Elementary School and Ashford High School.


The kids always look forward to them coming. This event has been going on for several years now and is a wonderful event...
