MONTGOMERY, Alabama --- Alabama lawmakers introduced 401 bills during the first three days of the legislative session last week.

Most bills never become law, and a sampling listed below doesn’t necessarily include the most high-profile or important. But it does give a taste for the wide range of topics already proposed one-tenth of the way into the session.

There were 229 bills introduced in the Alabama House of Representatives.
