DOTHAN:   11:06 PM.  Every time there is a decent rain the utility customers of the City of Dothan, well their power goes out.


To the utility crews, THANK YOU for getting out and working to restore power. Even though Billy Mayes and members of Dothan Commission and City Manager Mike West did nothing for you during the week of National Lineman's week.


The citizens thank you.


NOW TO BILLY MAYES, MIKE WEST AND DOTHAN COMMISSIONERS


The last time I called commissioners out over electrical issues Dothan a Commissioner Albert Kirkland wrapped his hands around my throat and put me up against the wall of the Dothan Civic Center.


Thanks to Jerry Corbin and Hugo Griggs for saving my life.


But Albert and your comrades, you are great at wasting the profits from Dothan Utilities. But you need to re-invest some of that profit in the infrastructure of Dothan Utilities.


The City of Dothan is in the power business just like Wiregrass a Electric, Alabama Power and other electrical suppliers. But the re-invest profits to make sure their customers have power. You do not.


And when you are called out, rather than work to fix it, you choke and try to kill the messenger.


Billy Mayes, you are responsible. You wanted the job and you got it. It is your duty to get the equipment upgraded so that rain does not knock the power out.


It is 11:15 PM and folks along Hodgesville Road do not have power. No excuse.


West, at $ 160,000.00 per year plus car and other fringe benefits, get with the program of being responsible or get gone.
