Blounstown Man Arrested on Multiple Charges

On Sunday December 21st 2014, a deputy with the Uniformed Patrol Division of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded to Walmart in reference to a reported theft. The suspect involved in the reported theft was William Scott Bozeman. The investigation led the deputy to Bozeman's vehicle in the parking lot. As the investigation continued, the deputy completed a legal inventory of Bozeman's vehicle which led to the discovery of approximately 1 gram of suspected methamphetamine, pieces of aluminum foil with burn marks and a clear tube containing suspected methamphetamine residue. These items were consistent with the instruments used for ingesting illegal narcotics. At the conclusion of the investigation Bozeman was placed under arrest and charged with petit theft, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bozeman was lodged in the Jackson County Jail to await first appearance.
